A citizen’s point of view provides valuable insight into the operations of the City’s and Council's decision-making process. The job of Board and Commission members is crucial to the success of Buda's representative government. The City of Buda application process begins in January, and we seek applications from qualified individuals to serve on the various Boards and Commissions from January through March. Considerations for appointments are held annually in April, although mid-term appointments may be scheduled when openings arise. The list of Boards, Commissions, Committees, and their related duties and qualifications is available below. You may submit your application by completing the online form. We accept applications for vacancies year-round; however, your application will be considered for the posted application period based on the date submitted. We will keep you updated on the status of your application and appointment date. For additional information, contact the City Clerk at 512-523-1014 or cityclerk@budatx.gov.
All appointees to City of Buda boards, commissions, and committees must be residents of Buda unless the ordinance requires representation from the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) or other membership composition requirements. Please check the Subdivision & Neighborhood Listing to verify if you live in the city limits or ETJ. All applicants will receive a copy of and must adhere to the attendance policy established by the City Council. Each board or commission elects its own chairperson and officers.
