Code Enforcement is the fair, equitable inspection and enforcement of environmental hazards to protect the public health, safety and welfare. This is accomplished through enforcement and education to improve the quality of life.
Code Enforcement does not enforce HOA or deed restrictions.
The City of Buda Code Enforcement Division makes regular inspections throughout the City to identify potential violations. Code Enforcement Officers actively enforce city codes and ordinances by informing and educating the public of standards set forth by their elected representatives. This is accomplished by:
- Cooperation with the citizens of the City of Buda
- Correspondence
- Public contact
- Working with other divisions and departments, such as
- Police
- Engineering
- Public Works
- Planning & Zoning
- Building Inspections
- Buda Fire Department
While Code Enforcement Officers can issue complaints in Municipal Court, their primary goal is achieving compliance.
