Rabies Alert

We have three different rabies alerts to tell you about.

RABIES ALERT:

On Aug. 14, 2018 a deceased bat was found on the ground in the 400 block of Crooked Creek Road at approximately 9:10 AM. The bat was tested by the Department of State Health Services and was found to be positive for rabies.

On Aug. 18, 2018 a deceased bat was found in the pool area of the Fairfield Inn at approximately 9:10 AM. The bat was tested by the Department of State Health Services and was found to be positive for rabies.

On Aug. 18, 2018 a deceased bat was found on the ground at the corner of Main Street and Live Oak Street at approximately 2:07 PM. The bat was tested by the Department of State Health Services and was found to be positive for rabies.
