Introduction
The Human Resources Department provides policy direction on human resource management issues and administrative support to City departments. The department implements and manages the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary City employees, including the drug screening process, maintenance of personnel records and employee performance evaluations.The Human Resources Department also designs and administers the employee benefits programs, produces internal communications, and coordinates employee recognition programs. In addition, the department facilitates the City’s workers’ compensation, develops the City’s job classification and compensation system, and coordinates required training programs for City employees.
